What are things you can do today because of technology that you couldn't do five years ago?

There's so many answers to this one question but one that quickly comes to mind is how cell phones have evolved over the past 5 years.  With the iPhone, I now can do things that only a desktop computer could do, actually it could do more then what a 5 year old computer was capable.

I can watch a movie on a hand held device that was able to download via wifi in a timely manner, i.e., not wait an eternity.  I have a legal and DRM free music library on the phone.  A capacitive touch screen that allows for a polished but easy to use interface.  Built in GPS, and the availability of all sorts of applications are stuff that were not even remotely possible in a 5 year old phone.

Then there's the new phenomenon of the netbooks.  A small but extremely inexpensive laptop.  It opened the door to people who could not or would not spend over 2,000 dollars for a mobile computer
